The icecaps of our planet are melting ?????
A complete terrestrial ice melt will raise the oceans approximately 80 metres.
Try to imagine what our coastal cities will look like. Meanwhile politicians attend conferences, pay lip service and do nothing but open up more fossil fuel reserves.
Murdoch says we should just move the cities inland. Great, is he going to pay for it?

What have we allowed to happen to the planet we live on, and the societies we live in?
Just sitting back and trusting in the politicians, corporations and financial institutions won’t really do it. They’re only in it for themselves. We all have to wake up on mass and do something. Shout, scream and make our voices heard. Boycott irresponsible corporations. Vote for people who care.
Independent candidates force mainstream parties to deal.
Trust science, it’s worked for 500 years.
If you broke a leg would you go to a hospital, or put some leeches on it?
Avoid conspiracy like it’s a disease. There will always be another conspiracy to fill the demand. They get money for the ads on their sites. It’s a stimulant drug for the mind.
Use media that is between the right/left extremes.

What’s with real estate agents!?
They mostly seem to have a rather distanced relationship with integrity. Anything for the “sale”. Anything?
They’re not all bad of course. I’ve met a couple of nice ones.
Really?
There may be several good people, or even saints working as estate agents.
Dressing in a fancy suit or like a model does not make you honest. Being confident is learned behavior and not indicative of the properties worth.
Under quoting for a faster turnover, changing contracts with the seller after the terms were agreed on, bullying, telling the buyer that there are many buyers that don’t actually exist to exert pressure, advertising non-existent properties to attract attention to the agency and pressuring a woman, whose husband had just had a heart attack, for a quick sale – just the tip of the iceberg and business as usual.
Maybe they will get an award at the end of the year.

Apes following fashion. Apes on phones. Apes driving cars. Apes watching TV. Apes fighting in Parliament.
In comparison to the age of the planet, we have only just climbed down out of the trees.
Who does it serve?

I am fascinated by fractal geometry.
The Mandelbrot set can be explained with the equation zn+1 = zn2 + c. In that equation, c and z are complex numbers and n is zero or a positive integer (natural number).
The result “z” is inserted again and run again.
Iterate millions of times and assign numbers to colours and plot to the screen. You end up with very natural looking graphics – fern shapes, bubbles, sea creatures and astronomical shapes.
Fractals can produce very realistic looking natural landscapes and anatomical structures like clouds, trees, canyons, mountains, circulatory systems and lungs.
They can also be used to compose music.
All the music on the site contains fractal segments.
The software, after a lot of adjustment and coaxing, produces 5 tracks of pitched music plus a percussion track. I then add perc, instrument, vocal and ambient loops and mix it.
There is editing involved on the original fractal file but it has a unique basic quality that I really like. It kind of hangs together in a natural way.
“Hotel Serenity” on the Archive Tab is like this.
Can the maths behind our natural universe be as simple as this?
Just set up an equation and repeat.
